He states
Color is a passion for me. The way color works and the astonishing relationships of hue, value and saturation are central to both my photography and painting. In my work, I’m hoping to provide a visual banquet of balance, form, and color. Here are some of the criteria I aspire to in creating my art:
Art that “wears well.” You should be able to return again and again to a piece of art, and gain something new from it each time. I want my art to have both initial impact and lasting interest.
An image that is interesting both from a distance and upon close examination. One that seduces you into a closer look.
Art that doesn’t reveal all its charms at once but requires participation and time from the viewer to be experienced.
Rewarding Ambiguity. Balance that comes and goes as the eye gets used to and creates structure that evaporates and re-forms.
A fresh visual experience. A new way to view a subject.
